Biography
Naina Bachchan is a pianist based in Mumbai. She is a Grade 8 level pianist with the ABRSM (the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), a premier UK‑based music examination board.
After a classical training shaped by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Debussy, she returned to the piano as an adult — rediscovering it during the pandemic through lessons with Alberto L. Ferro, Creative Director of the London Contemporary School of Piano. What began as a wish to explore jazz and harmony grew, over five years, into a voice of her own.
Today her playing gravitates towards film scores and contemporary composers — the music that had quietly shaped her imagination for decades. That journey is gathered in her project Meet Me in the Music: a sixty-minute programme of ten pieces by composers from around the world, recorded at Island City Studios in Mumbai. Her path continues through Latin, jazz and improvisation — towards a sound that brings the modern and the classical together.
